Bank Station, London Underground's fourth busiest station, has seen a huge increase in passenger numbers in recent years. After significant research and planning, London Underground is progressing a scheme that will make a huge difference in reducing crowds and improving access at Bank.
Mott MacDonald, working with TfL under a framework agreement to develop the Bank Station Upgrade programme, developed the BIM model containing the existing and proposed station geometry.
The scheme is now being further developed by London Underground through a competitive procurement process.
Callprint used Magics RP to prepare all of the data for 3D printing from the BIM model. The model was printed using Callprint's Zprinter 650 and the model was delivered in a presentation case ready for the public consultation in November 2011.
